Chelsea FC: Frank Lampard punching above his weight

If there is one thing that all English Premier league fans can agree on, it is the fact that Chelsea Boss: Frank Lampard has done an amazing job this season with what he was given.

Almost all Chelsea fans were ecstatic when the Club's all time highest goal scorer was appointed manager of the London based club. His appointment brought about a divided fan base together, something not experienced since Jose Mourinho's second coming.

Nevertheless there was a little bit of apprehension as many fans wondered if Super Frank was up to the task of competing with the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp or even Mauricio Pochettino. The Chelsea boss with only one year experience of professional management, had arrived at a big club that just sold its best player, and due to the transfer ban, were unable to replace him.

With this unfavorable circumstance, all any Chelsea fan could hope for was a top four finish and even that hope seemed far fetch when one consider the recruiting power of other league competitors.

However, just like the rising of the sun, the blues gradually began to rise up the table with a 7 game winning streak. at this point, every Chelsea fan began to believe, because not only was the club winning games, they were playing some amazing football with academy products such as Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, and Tomori, so much so that Chelsea became the second team of many EPL fan.

Mount, Loftus-Cheek and Pulisic

Its just two games left to go in the league and Chelsea currently sit at the third position. What an amazing achievement this has been for the rookie Manager. In a peculiar transition season, The Chelsea coach has slugged it out with heavy weights, defeating Manchester City's Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho's Spurs and  Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp.

Truly its been an amazing season for Chelsea, Frank Lampard and the fans. Better days surely are ahead and we cant wait for next season to begin. But first, these young Chelsea players must dig deep to get at least a win and a draw against runaway champions Liverpool and Stubborn Wolves.

To that, we say Good luck lads!
